I am a lifelong beachcomber, giggler, movie lover and stargazer who grew up in the 1970s in a house without a television. I have always been an avid daydreamer, often making up love stories to pass the time or to help my insomnia. Writing down my daydreams all began with my first locked diary (it had Paddington on the front) and has progressed to my latest project, a full-length romance novel, which I sat down and wrote in a few weeks in 2021.
After a meet-cute in a bank lobby, my husband and were coerced into going on a blind date by his office’s runner and my office’s nosy receptionist. True story: they wrote him a love note on my company’s staionery and forged my signature on it. So yes, ours was a love story begun on false pretenses.
While we were dating, he went to the islands and brought me home a large piece of heart-shaped coral that he found on the beach. Thus began a love of searching for heart shaped things in everyday places.
Thank you to all of the friends who kept saying, “start a blog, write a book, just go out and do this”. They knew better than I how much I love to create and write. And they also like to cry and laugh at the same time right along with me.
Visit here to find out what I am reading, a little dose of humor, and notes form my work in progress.
