Kara Kentley was born in New England and raised in Virginia, but spent her summer vacations reading, swimming, camping, and visiting family on Lake Mooselookmeguntic in Oquossoc, Maine. An avid contemporary romance reader, she grew up in a house without a television and passed her time creating stories with meet-cutes and happily-ever-after endings.
Kara is afraid of getting stuck in an elevator, so her real-life meet-cute happened on the ground floor. They were never enemies, never fake dated, and he wasn’t her older brother’s best friend. She is eagerly awaiting the moment she discovers he is either a secret billionaire or a prince. Until then, they’re content sharing a rescue sheepadoodle, a love of movies and television, and a room with only one bed.
When she is not writing, Kara works with community non-profits and searches for heart shaped objects in everyday places.
